According to American Pychiatric Association, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD) affects about 5 percent of children and about half of them carry those symptoms into adulthood.The basic symptoms include inattentiveness, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. ADHD in children manifests as lack of attention, being accident prone and disturbance in academic performance. In adults, fidgetiness is often sign of hyperactivity. Other common manifestations are disorganized, forgetful and clumsy adult who appears to have difficulty in handling responsibilities. Once diagnosed, management includes Medicines and psychotherapy. It is an ongoing process and not a few month course to get rid of problem. Coping is a major part of symptom management.

In general, you can expect to see a positive change during the first month of taking Axepta 10 Tablet. After the first month of taking the medication, your dose might be raised if you are not benefitting enough from it.

Is nausea common during the treatment with Axepta 10 Tablet?

Nausea is a common side-effect of this medicine. Eat smaller, more frequent meals to reduce the feeling of nausea. Also, avoid food that is salty, spicy, fried, or fatty.

When should I call my doctor right away?

Get medical help right away if you get suicidal thoughts, chest pain or if you experience severe stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, dark urine, pale stools, or yellowing of your skin or eyes.

What medicine should be avoided along with Axepta 10 Tablet?

Avoid taking any other anti-depressant along with Axepta 10 Tablet without consulting your doctor. This is because the combination may cause side-effects like shaking (tremor), shivering, muscle stiffness, fever, rapid pulse, rapid breathing or confusion.

Can I give Axepta 10 Tablet to my 3-year-old child?

No Axepta 10 Tablet should only be used in children 6 years and older.

When to take Axepta 10 Tablet?

This medicine is usually taken one or two times a day (early morning and late afternoon/early evening). If you find that you are sleepy during the day talk to your doctor about the best time to take your medicine.
