Q. What is Arifix-AZ Dry Syrup used for?
Arifix-AZ Dry Syrup is a fixed-dose combination of two antibiotics and is used to treat patients with bacterial infections. Cefixime is used to treat infections of the ear, lung, throat and urinary tract. Azithromycin is useful in the treatment of ear infections, strep throat, pneumonia, traveler's diarrhea (loose stools and stomach cramps while traveling). Together they can be used to treat infections of the upper respiratory tract (typhoid and pneumonia), urinary tract and sexually transmitted diseases.

Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). A patient may get this disease after having oral, vaginal or anal sex. Many patients with gonorrhea do not have any symptoms. Other patients may have symptoms like pain during sex, pain while urinating, discharge from the penis in males and changes in normal vaginal discharge of females.
