Introduction of AD-Cough Syrup

AD-Cough Plus Syrup is a combination medicine used in the treatment of cough with mucus. It thins mucus in the nose, windpipe and lungs making it easier to cough out. It also relieves allergic symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing and also relieves minor throat irritation.

AD-Cough Plus Syrup is a combination of four medicines: AD-Cough Plus Syrup1, AD-Cough Plus Syrup2, AD-Cough Plus Syrup3, and AD-Cough Plus Syrup4.

In Cough with mucus

AD-Cough Plus Syrup gives relief from cough with mucus. It helps to loosen thick mucus, reduces its stickiness and thus makes it easier to cough out. This makes breathing easy and reduces the frequency of coughing. AD-Cough Plus Syrup will also relieve allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose or throat irritation. Along with medications, drink enough luke warm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms.

Side effects of AD-Cough Syrup

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

  • AD-Cough Plus Syrup is prescribed to get relief from cough with mucus.
  • Drink warm water to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication.
  • Take exactly as directed by your doctor or on the label. Do not increase the dosage or take for longer than is recommended. Use a proper measuring cup or spoon to measure the dosage.
  • If you are drowsy after taking AD-Cough Plus Syrup, you should not drive or operate any machinery.
  • In general, most coughs do not last more than 2 weeks. If your cough does last longer than this then its better to see your doctor.
  • Inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers or asthma.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications for e.g. anti-depressants.
  • AD-Cough Plus Syrup should not be given to kids.
