This medicine helps clear up the infection by stopping the bacteria from multiplying and growing. In most cases, the infection starts showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of regular dosing. However, you must still finish the full course of the medicine. Stopping it abruptly may worsen your child’s condition or cause infection recurrence.

In Treatment of Parasitic infections

AD 150mg/100mg Suspension is also used to treat parasitic infections such as amoebic dysentery, amoebic liver abscess, trichomoniasis, and giardiasis. It works by stopping the growth of parasites causing the infection. As a result of this, your child’s infection is treated.

If your child develops diarrhea as a side effect, encourage them to drink plenty of water.
AD 150mg/100mg Suspension may cause an altered taste. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help.

It is advised that you get your child’s G6PD deficiency evaluated before starting the course of treatment. Avoid giving AD 150mg/100mg Suspension as deficiency of G6PD enzymes can lead to breaking of blood cells resulting in severe anemia.

Q. What if I give excess AD 150mg/100mg Suspension by mistake?

An extra dose of AD 150mg/100mg Suspension is unlikely to cause any harm. But, you must still be vigilant because overdose increases the risk of unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat.
