Introduction of Actispas-R Tablet

Actispas-R Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat acidity-related abdominal pain. It works effectively to reduce abdominal pain, bloating, and cramps by relaxing the muscles of the stomach and gut. It also neutralizes excessive acid in the stomach and relieves indigestion or heartburn.

Actispas-R Tablet is a combination of anticholinergic-antispasmodic and H2 receptor blocker.

In Abdominal pain

Actispas-R Tablet effectively relieves sudden muscle spasms or contractions in the stomach and intestine (gut), thereby relaxing the muscles and improving movement of food. This helps to treat abdominal pain (or stomach pain) as well as cramps, bloating and discomfort. Eventually, it will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, quality of life.

Side effects of Actispas-R Tablet

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Actispas-R Tablet

Breast feeding

Actispas-R Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
It is not known whether Actispas-R Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney
CAUTION
Actispas-R Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Actispas-R Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Actispas-R Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Actispas-R Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you forget to take Actispas-R Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Actispas-R Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Actispas-R Tablet

  • You will be prescribed Actispas-R Tablet to get relief from abdominal pain due to acidity.
  • Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor.
  • Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Actispas-R Tablet.
  • Incorporate the folowing lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity:
    1. Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water.
    2. Avoid spicy and fatty fried food.
    3. Lose weight if you are obese.
    4. If you are a smoker, consider giving up.
    5. Don't drink too much alcohol.
    6. Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion.
