Morning sickness is seen in pregnant women, usually starts before the end of the 22nd week of gestation. It is commonly known as pregnancy sickness also.
 
Causes and Risk Factors
 
The cause of morning sickness is not known. It is one of the symptoms accompanied during pregnancy. However, possible factors that have been proposed as causes are:
1. Change in hormone or blood sugar levels during early pregnancy
2. Emotional stress
3. Fatigue
4. Certain foods
5. Nutritional deficiency
 
Signs and Symptoms
 
Common symptoms are:
1. Nausea 
2. Vomiting
3. Fatigue
 
Treatment and Prevention
 
1. No medication is suggested to treat morning sickness, as it is a normal symptom faced by most of the women during their early pregnancy stage.
2. Dietary changes may be recommended
3. Take adequate rest
4. Do not skip meals
5. Keep the body hydrated
 
Complications and When Should You See a Doctor
 
It can affect the baby if too much of body fluid and electrolytes are flushed out of the body, only in severe conditions, for which a visit to a doctor becomes must.
