Description of Liver disease

Liver diseases can damage the liver and affect its function. Various conditions that affect the liver are inflammation, obstruction, fat accumulation, injury, tumor, etc. Alcohol abuse is a common cause of liver disease. Exposure to certain medications can temporarily or permanently damage the liver. Usually, decreased liver function occurs only after significant amounts of liver cells are affected. Some of the diseases of liver are fatty liver, hepatitis, cirrhosis, hemochromatosis, liver cancer, etc.
