Description of Eye pain

Eye pain, or ophthalmalgia, is common symptom. The pain could be orbital (occurring within the eye) or ocular (occurring on the surface of eye). Eye pain may be described as a sensation of throbbing, dull, sharp, pressure, stabbing, shooting, burning, etc. Foreign objects, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, sinusitis, glaucoma, headache, injury, etc. can all cause pain in the eye.
