Arthralgia means pain in the joint. It may affect one or more joints. If the pain is experienced in two or more than two joints, it is termed as polyarthralgia. Many times, arthralgia is confused with arthritis. However, the two are different as arthritis is a diagnosis that refers to joint inflammation. While, arthralgia is a symptom that refers to joint pain.
