Nisoth
Nisoth (Operculina turpethum) is a medicinal herb which belongs to the family Convolvulaceae. It is also known as Indian jalap. There are two varieties of the plant (black and white), and dried roots of the white variety of the plant is mostly used for its pharmacological properties. Chemical constituents of Nisoth include glycosides resin, volatile oil, glucose and fructose which are responsible for the treatment of chronic constipation (difficulty in passing stools), arthritis (joint inflammation), dropsy (the swelling of soft tissues due to the accumulation of excess water), gout (pain and swelling in the joints), jaundice (yellowing of the skin) etc.

1. Constipation
According to Ayurveda, Nisoth has strong Virechak(purgative) property so it increases the bowel movement and helps to pass stool easily.

1. Nisoth churna
a. Take ¼-½ tesapoon Nisoth churna with warm water after lunch and dinner.
b. In case of piles, take Nisoth churna with Triphala churna.

2. Nisoth Juice
a. Take 1-2 teaspoon Nisoth juice.
b. Added with 1 glass of water.
c. Take it in the morning empty stomch one time a day
